Labor Day weekend is upon us, and while you figure out just how many more times you can wear your summer whites, we would like to recommend three events where you might want to wear them.
- Believe in CLE: Now in its third year, Believe in CLE is a yoga movement that celebrates our wonderful city. A result of a collaboration between Inner Bliss Yoga Studio and lululemon this event rotates around various landmarks in Cleveland, routinely attracting thousands of yogis who sign up to move together. It sounds really touchy-feely, but moving and breathing in sync with 1400 other people is something you need to experience to believe – you really CAN feel energy pulsating around you, and it is electric and addictive. Cost: FREE!
2. The Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom: This weekend marks the very last weekend of the 2015 Blossom Music Festival, with The Cleveland Orchestra celebrating the movies with the music of John Williams. If you are not familiar with John Williams, his film scores include Star Wars, E.T., Harry Potter, Superman, and Jaws, just to name a few. If this is your first Orchestra concert at Blossom, you can read my top 5 tips for a memorable experience! Cost: Lawn seats are $10, and you can request up to two under-18 tickets for free.
3. Cleveland Oktoberfest: Oktoberfest at the Cuyahoga County over Labor Day weekend is really something of a Cleveland tradition. From the 5K Bier Run to the Five Star Wiener Dog Races, Das Glockenspiel to all the German food and beer you can drink, this event is endless fun. A designated driver or Uber is highly recommended. Cost: Tickets start at $9 online, kids under 12 are free.
No matter what you do this weekend, we hope you have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!
