An Open Letter to Young Women

Dear Young Woman,

I want to stress to you the importance of respecting yourself. And I have to tell you that what has happened to you in the past, or what you have done in the past, does not define you…but you can learn from it.

Sometimes, there are bumps in the road. You might be having trouble at school, or drama with a significant other. But the good news is, you are a strong young lady and you can control how you react. You can utilize your independence. You are better off standing on your own two feet than leaning on someone else.

You are a gleaming ball of positive energy, and you have so much potential…and you are in control. You are worth so much, and you deserve to be with someone who treats you like gold.

Stay aware, be deliberate, and exude class. Unfortunately, even if you give off good energy, sometimes people with bad intentions find their way into your life. But you don’t have to let them stay.

You have the power to surround yourself with love, beauty, and excellence. But building that life requires patience, hard work, and courage.

It is so important to practice self-respect at a young age, so that you make the right choices (even if they are more difficult) in your future.

Don’t be afraid to go the extra mile…for the ones you care about, and for yourself.

I hope you find the sunniest days, the tastiest lattes, and the most fabulous shoes.
