Calling All Young Professionals

From June 20th- 26th this year, Engage! Cleveland will team up with a number of local businesses to bring a packed week of activities catered to young professionals in our region. This will be the 3rd annual CLE YP Week, and for the first time ever, She In The CLE will join in the festivities as media partner.

We are so excited to be a part of this weeklong event, in no small part because we’ve participated in some of the events in previous years, had new experiences, made new friends, and most importantly, had an absolute blast doing it. And if you’re wondering why we’re discussing this in May, its because event registration opens Monday, May 23rd, and these events do sell out.

This year’s itinerary is packed with really amazing events- here are some we are looking forward to the most:

June 20th:

Spin at Harness Cycle: Full disclosure, partner Shibani Faehnle is a BIG fan and regular rider at this female-owned business! We love our lady bosses!

Mayor Jackson’s 10 Lessons in 10 Years: This is sure to be an insightful discussion.

A Peek at the Pier: We’ve had a sneak peek at some of the development planned for the Pier, and if executed, its going to bring a whole new dimension to downtown Cleveland!

June 21st:

Cleveland’s Leading Ladies: This is an obvious must-attend for us, but we’re really looking forward to hearing our friend Lisa Zone interview a really great panel of women who are leading change in local businesses and institutions.

Cleveland Skyline pARTy: We’re big fans of the Flats revival, and we’re excited to check out this great venue!

June 22nd:

CrossFit at Birdtown CrossFit: This is one of two CrossFit events during the week, and while we haven’t jumped on the CrossFit bandwagon, perhaps its time to give it a shot?

What’s a Manhattan: We love cocktails and what a great opportunity to learn how to make some of the classics?!

June 23rd:

Honestly, we LOVE ALL the events scheduled on this day! We’re particularly disappointed that the beer and wine events overlap– hmmm, is it possible to be in two places at once?

June 24th:

The Closing Party promises to be a fantastic time, and if you haven’t experienced FWD, we highly recommend it! Enjoy a unique experience with absolutely incredible views, and knowing how amazing our summer sunsets can be, you will definitely want to be at this event.

June 25th:

Another amazing schedule! Sweat off that Closing Party with Zumba and rooftop yoga (the featured image above is from last year’s rooftop yoga event) and then get competitive with a scavenger hunt!

June 26th:

Another opportunity for rooftop yoga (but with a different view) and adjoining restaurant Adega offers bottomless mimosas at brunch. Just saying. There’s also not one, but TWO opportunities to give back and learn about some great Cleveland organizations that help our community.

So with a packed week filled with a diverse range of activities, there’s no reason you shouldn’t get involved this YP week! We hope to see many of you there, and hope you will come up and say hello!!
